Gender violence a decolonial perspective from the intervention of the State

Abstract

A reflection on the State from the decolonial perspective to gender violence in Bogotá, shows an approach to power, constituted by the permanent presence of domination, exploitation and conflicts, express control of work, sex, authority, resources and the workforce. Establishing the possibility of state intervention, as a diverse process that combines skill and knowledge of the base organizations. This study seeks to describe the state intervention processes through the use of the mixed method in research, data collection was given through 9 in-depth interviews with female victims and investigators, 25 semiestructured interviews with leaders and students of a social science program and finally the implementation of 2 focus group guides aimed at the general population. Therefore, among the most relevant results is that gender violence assumes a social relationship constituted by the permanent presence of domination, exploitation and conflicts expressed in the control of work, sex, authority, resources and workforce, with women being the most affected.
