Theoretical approaches to the incursion of information and communication technologies in the agricultural sector: e-agriculture

Abstract
The aim of this manuscript is to analyze the role that information and communication technologies play in the agricultural technology information management of the agricultural area. The methodological approach responds to an exhaustive review of the literature and systematization of the main theories on the incursion of information and communication technologies in the agricultural sector, duly corroborated by the systemic approach of e-agriculture and its performance in the rural context. Obtaining as a result its contextualization as a new option that enhances agricultural management, its operation as a system and the advances in the participation of Information and Communication Technologies. It is concluded that E-agriculture is opening an emerging field that allows improving the access and exchange of information, its implementation focused as a system to improve the conditions of production, commercialization; avoiding large-scale risks, depending on the strengthening of public policies to achieve search for sustainable agriculture while ensuring food security for their regions.
