Improving educational quality from pedagogical leadership: A systematic review

Abstract
The improvement of education is an always important objective, whether from educational research, international reports, or the various educational policies that are proposed year after year. It is thepedagogical leadership, exercised in the educational organizations and the work teams that make it up, key to the scope of improvement and quality in education. Materials and methods. The present investigation is of a topographic, non-traditional type, characterized by delving into theoretical and methodological aspects. They propose to orient the objectives in 3 main axes: how many (number of
publications, year, authors), where (type of journals, indexing, and language) and how (designs, methods, samples and types of instruments) is being investigated on Leadership Pedagogical. From an initial sample of n = 6390 articles, a final sample of n = 15 was obtained that met the inclusion criteria. Publications made in Spain (n = 5), Chile (n = 4), Colombia (n = 2), Mexico (n = 2), Peru (n = 1) and Costa Rica (n = 1) were analyzed. Results. The investigations are characterized by being mostly descriptive and quantitative, the most used data collection instrument is the questionnaire and case studies. Most of the researchers are Spanish. And in Latin America it is Chile. The distribution shows that Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) has 5 (33%) indexes. Conclusion. The analysis carried out allows us to consider the subject of study as emerging, and scarce. That further reviews should be carried out that consider all the available literature, not limiting themselves to indexed journals or of a purely empirical nature.
